About Cat Island
Getting Here
Cat Island is easily reached by air or boat. Two airports provide service: the New Bight International Airport, located less than 10 minutes away from Cat Island Golf and Beach Resort and Arthur’s Town Airport, at the northern end of the island. Scheduled domestic flights from Nassau arrive at both daily, while New Bight International Airport (soon to be improved by the Bahamian government) also provides direct entry for international visitors on non-stop flights from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
There is a direct flight from Ft. Lauderdale on Continental Airlines -www.continental.com. Some of the Domestic Airlines that arrive on Cat Island are BahamasAir -www.bahamasair.com; Sky Bahamas - www.skybahamas.net; Cat Island Air - www.flycatislandair.com.
Due to Cat Island’s protected coral reef, part of the third largest barrier reef in the world, boat size is restricted.
